Jet Carrying Pete Hegseth Required to Touch Down in UK Due to Fracture in Windshield
A jet carrying Pete Hegseth was required to make an unscheduled landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the jet's front window, per an official announcement which verified that all passengers were secure.
"The jet landed following established safety measures and everyone onboard, among them Pete Hegseth, is safe," a press officer said in a public statement.
The secretary was coming back from a short visit to the city of Brussels at the time.
This event isn't the initial instance that a United States armed forces jet transporting a top government figure has encountered mechanical issues.
In a previous incident this year, a United States Air Force aircraft carrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was compelled to return to Washington DC after experiencing a technical issue.
