Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants met personally to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Former twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's largest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As both boxers participated in the customary face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually happening.
