David Walliams dropped by book publisher.
Prolific writer for children and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, the company has said.
A spokesman for the publisher stated: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the move was taken subsequent to an investigation into claims about conduct deemed unsuitable directed at young women.
The company declined to specify the motivations for this action, adding: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
An Illustrious Publishing History
Walliams is one of the UK's most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over more than 60 million copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.
Some of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.
To date, he has released over four dozen titles altogether, encompassing a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins in October.
Television and Literature
His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.
This development follows the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss last fall.
