British Airways to provide complimentary quick onboard connectivity via satellite deal
Passengers aboard this carrier are set to enjoy fast connectivity during flights at no cost following a new deal involving SpaceX's communications firm.
No-cost plus High-speed Wifi Available to Everyone
The airline stated that the no-cost, “quick and reliable” connectivity provision through the satellite provider will be available for passengers in coach, business, or premium cabins as of the coming month.
Expanded Rollout Throughout Several Carriers
The parent company for BA, the airline group, confirmed it had secured an deal with Starlink for providing wifi coverage for more than 500 planes operated by the group's operators, which also include the Irish airline, the Spanish carrier, and Vueling.
Smooth Connectivity starting at Gate through Landing
The airline stated that this introduction of this technology was part of a seven billion pound “transformation” plan and would provide smooth internet service for flyers starting at boarding to arrival, also when they are flying across large bodies of water and isolated areas.
